Meeting No. 19

Tuesday, June 9, 1998

The Sub-Committee on International Trade, Trade Disputes and Investment met at 4:28 p.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, Bob Speller, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Sarmite Bulte, Raymonde Folco, Julian Reed, Charlie Penson, Julian Reed, Benoît Sauvageau and Bob Speller.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Daniel Shaw and Daniel Dupras, Research Officers.

Pursuant to its Order of Reference from the Standing Committee on Foreign Affair and International Trade (See Minutes of Proceedings of February 26, 1998 - Meeting No. 35), the Sub-Committee resumed its study on future negotiations of the World Trade International Organization.

Witnesses: From the Industry Canada: Robert Ready, Acting Director, International and Services Policy Directorate; Vincent Sacchetti, Senior Analyst, International Investment and Services Policy.

Robert Ready made an opening statement and with the other witness answered questions.

 

At 5:25 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
