Monday, December 1, 1997
The Sub-Committee on International Trade, Trade Disputes and Investment met in camera at 4:22 o’clock p.m., this day, in Room 306 West Block, the Chair, Bob Speller, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Scott Brison, Sarmite Bulte, Robert Nault, Charlie Penson, Julian Reed, Bob Speller
Acting Members present: John McKay for Raymonde Folco, Maud Debien for Benoït Sauvageau.
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Daniel Shaw, Peter Berg and Gerald Schmitz, Research Officers; Dr. Christopher Maule, Consultant.
Pursuant to its Order of Reference from the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade (See Minutes of October 23, 1997 – Meeting No. 4), the Sub-Committee resumed its study of the Multilateral Agreement on Investment.
The Sub-Committee resumed consideration of a draft report to the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade on its study of the Multilateral Agreement on Investment.
At 5:18 o’clock p.m., the Sub-Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
