Tuesday, April 20, 1999
The Sub-Committee on Children & Youth at Risk of the Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met at 3:38 p.m. this day, in Room 705, La Promenade Building, the Chair, John Godfrey, presiding.
Members of the Sub-Committee present: Libby Davies, Christiane Gagnon, John Godfrey, Eric Lowther, Maria Minna, Diane St-Jacques.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Sandra Harder and Bill Young, Research Officers.
Witnesses: As Individual: Richard Shillington. From the Department of Finance: Keith Horner, Chief, Social Tax Policy, Tax Policy Branch.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108 (2) the Committee resumed its study relating to issues regarding the future of children and youth in Canada.
The witnesses made statements and answered questions.
At 5:10 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
