Meeting No. 92

Thursday, March 4, 1999

The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met at 9:00 a.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, Pat O'Brien, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Robert Bertrand, Hec Clouthier, Gordon Earle, Jim Hart, René Laurin, John O'Reilly, David Pratt, David Price, John Richardson and Bob Wood.

Acting Members present: Janko Peric for Judi Longfield.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Wolf Koerner and Corinne McDonald, Research Officers.

Witnesses: From the Public Works and Government Services Canada: Alan Williams, Assistant Deputy Minister. From the Department of National Defence: Pierre L. Lagueux, Assistant Deputy Minister, Materiel.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108 (2), the Committee resumed a study on Contracting and Procurement.

Pierre L. Lagueux answered questions.

Allan Williams made an opening statement and answered questions.

At 11:00 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
