TUESDAY, JUNE 2, 1998

The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met at 7:10 o’clock p.m., this day, in the Auditorium, Lorne Building, 90 Elgin Street, the Chair, Robert Bertrand, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Robert Bertrand, Hec Clouthierl, David Pratt, John Richardson, Pierrette Venne and Bob Wood.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Wolf Koerner and Michel Rossignol, Research Officers.

Witnesses: Cpl Michael Kyte; Sgt Mike Bonin; Maj Neville Headley; Dan Chénard; WO Serge Duguay; Capt Dan Haines; Cpl Katie Cyrene; Donna McCarthy; Maj Brian Laughton.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of a Review of the Social and Economic Challenges Facing Members of the Canadian Forces.

The witnesses made opening statements and answered questions.

At 8:55 o’clock p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
