MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS

Wednesday, February 4, 1998

 

The Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights met in camera at 5:32 p.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Chair, Shaughnessy Cohen, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Eleni Bakopanos, Shaughnessy Cohen, Paul DeVillers, Peter G. MacKay, John McKay, John Maloney, Peter Mancini, Richard Marceau, Jack Ramsay and Andrew Telegdi.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Philip Rosen, Senior Analyst, Marilyn Pilon, Research Officer.

The Committee proceeded to discuss its future business.

It was agreed – That the selection of witnesses, as modified, be adopted.

It was agreed – That the action plan on the victims role in the criminal justice system be adopted.

At 5:52 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
