Meeting No. 25

WEDNESDAY, March 11, 1998

The Standing Committee on Health met in camera at 3:45 o’clock p.m., this day, in

room 701 , La Promenade Building, the Chair, Beth Phinney, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Carolyn Bennett, Aileen Carroll, Claude Drouin, Grant Hill, Lynn Myers, Pauline Picard, Greg Thompson, Rose-Marie Ur, Maurice Vellacott, Joseph Volpe, Judy Wasylycia-Leis.

Acting Members present: Yvon Charbonneau for Elinor Caplan.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Odette Madore, Nancy Miller-Chenier and Gérald Lafrenière, Research Officers.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of natural health products. (See Minutes of Proceedings dated Thursday, November 20, 1997.)

The Committee proceeded to consider its future business.

It was agreed – That the Committee travel to Vancouver and Toronto during the week of April 19 and to Montreal during the week of April 26 within the context of its study of natural health products, and that the proposed budget be adopted.

At 5:16 o’clock p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
