MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS

Meeting No. 81

Tuesday, June 8, 1999

The Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met in camera at 9:11 a.m. this day, in Room 536, Wellington Building, the Chair, Charles Hubbard, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Yvan Bernier, Claude Drouin, Wayne Easter, Charles Hubbard, Nancy Karetak-Lindell, Gary Lunn, Carmen Provenzano, Lou Sekora, Bill Matthews.

Acting Member present: Brent St.Denis for Paul Steckle.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Alan Nixon, Research Officer.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of the Draft Report on Seals.

It was agreed, - That any dissenting opinions be sent to the Clerk by 5 o'clock p.m., Tuesday, June 8, 1999 and that such opinions be no longer than two pages 8½ by 11 and that they be in both official languages.

It was agreed, - That the Chair be authorized to table the Report.

At 11:20 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
