ORDERS OF REFERENCE

2nd Session / 35th Parliament

Extract from the Journals of the House of Commons of Tuesday, June 4, 1996:

The Order was read for the second reading and reference to the Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development of Bill C-6, An Act to amend the Yukon Quartz Mining Act and the Yukon Placer Mining Act.

Mr. Irwin (Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development), seconded by Mr. Eggleton (Minister for International Trade), moved,--That the Bill be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development.

Debate arose thereon.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.

Accordingly, the Bill was read the second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development.
